Invisible Symphony chronicles the inner workings of CicLAvia, a Los Angeles-based non-profit, leading up to the largest open streets event in U.S. history, Heart of Los Angeles, and covers one event that connects six neighborhoods along an eight-mile route while exploring the societal and physical barriers that contribute to profound human disconnections, telling the story of Los Angeles’ diverse cultures and communities as powerful instruments in the city's symphony. With unprecedented access to the CicLAvia organization, the film follows key members preparing for the event through community outreach, and employs three film crews across the route, capturing early morning set-up and street closures, while utilizing cinematography that emphasizes symmetry and slow motion to evoke the dreamlike experience of CicLAvia, complemented by an orchestral score that reflects the beauty and empathy of individual places and communities coming together.
